Julia Remedi holds a Licentiate degree in English-Spanish Translation and Comparative Linguistics from Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina. Her course of studies and professional trajectory are informed by a life-long passion for languages. Upon graduation, she was able to put her background in academic and audiovisual translation to good use in the private sector as a linguistic consultant and project coordinator. Her professional ethics and interests are deeply rooted in her personal experiences. Thanks to her family background in documentary filmmaking, which addresses social justice issues, Julia developed an acute political awareness from a young age. Through her years as a student, Julia participated actively in local politics in defense of public education, indigenous rights, and environmental protection. As project manager at L4E, her personal history with social and environmental advocacy converges with academic formation and her professional expertise.
