Hannah is excited to join L4E as a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Vermont. She first moved to Vermont, land stewarded by the Abenaki people, in 2017 to study Geography and Environmental Studies at Middlebury College. After graduating, she spent four years living and working in Dena'ina homeland (Anchorage, Alaska) before returning East to pursue her doctorate at the Rubenstein School of the Environment.
Hannah's research interests include examining visions of just transitions, particularly in Northwest Alaska, and exploring the relationship between social science research, community resiliency, and systemic change.
She looks forward to bringing together the range of disciplines within the L4E community and continually learning from those around her. Outside of work, Hannah enjoys long days on her bike or feet, ceramics, and reading on her porch.
