Join us for an evening of conversation, catching up and strategizing the future of DegrowUS and degrowth organizing in the United States! This event is open to anyone interested in DegrowUS and/or organizing and activism for degrowth in the American context.

The assembly will open with short talks about Degrowth in the United States from our keynote speakers, Susan Paulson and Jamie Tyberg.

Then, the DegrowUS team will give a brief history of our work so far and plans for the future.

We’ll then have an opportunity for organizers to talk to one another in breakout groups focusing on different aspects of degrowth organizing going forward, followed by some full group discussion, Q&A and planning next steps.

Breakout topics include:

• Organizing degrowth events
• Local organizing for degrowth
• Building partnership with allied movements and organizations
• DegrowUS administration and communications
• Planing the next DegrowUS in-person gathering
