Movie night: Waking the sleeping giant. The making of political revolution.

About the Event
Join us for a watch party of Jon's documentary Waking the Sleeping Giant: the making of a political revolution. A look back at the 2016 US election season is pretty valuable right now, especially so that we don’t make the same mistakes of division, exclusion, and marginalization of the new progressive movement. While we need to immediately respond to the crisis of COVID19, we can’t be distracted from the steady work of systemic change needed at the intersection of our economic, cultural, and political systems. The plan is to stream live this Friday (4/10) at 7 pm ET. Like the NetFlix watch parties that Katie has been organizing, we’ll be able to watch together and comment/chat along the way and afterwards. We’ll be using the free browser extension TwoSeven, available for either Firefox or Chrome here: https://twoseven.xyz/. Just download and register a free account. Friday night, we’ll tee up the Vimeo and then send around a TwoSeven watch party link (that you can certainly share with others … the more the merrier). As long as you have the extension installed and an account set up ahead of time, it should work like a charm.
In addition to text chat, the app also has audio/video chat features, so we can hangout afterwards and talk about the film, the future, share recipes, etc.
