Building off the successes of the CANSEE Student Symposium, CANSEE will once again offer an opportunity for emerging ecological economics scholars to strengthen their research capacities. Through a competitive submission process, select students will receive a comprehensive and personalized review of their research from senior Ecological Economics scholars and industry practitioners.

This third edition of the Ecological Economics Academy will provide developmental support to graduate students and proliferate publishable works. We encourage submissions on topics related to:

1) Sustainable economic recovery 2) Inclusive circular economies 3) Nature-based solutions and ecosystem services 4) Just low-carbon transitions

The 2022 EE Academy will be hosted virtually - with options for regional gatherings, depending on the current state of the pandemic.


