You are invited to the fifth webinar in the series, “From the Anthropocene to the Ecozoic” on June 24th at 12 pm (noon) EDT.

These series happen on the last Wednesday of every month and highlight the work of graduate students, faculty, and collaborators in the Economics for the Anthropocene (E4A) and Leadership for the Ecozoic (L4E) graduate research and training partnerships. Talks are designed to be fifteen minute research overviews with ideas on actionable outcomes, followed by fifteen minute Q&A sections.

This month webinar talks highlight aspects of the Monetary System Reform:

•  Two Faces of Finance: Speculation and Production by Josh Farley (a Gund Fellow and a Professor in the Community Development and Applied Economics department in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at UVM).

•  The Two Circuits of Money: Debt or Democracy by Mary Mellon (Emeritus Professor at North Umbria University, UK)

•  Monetary doublespeak: breaking down the UK's economic response to the pandemic by David Barmes (works at Positive Money and is a grad student in Socio-Ecological Economics & Policy at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.)
