Danish Hasan Ansari is pursuing a PhD in Sustainable Development Policy, Economics and Governance at the University of Vermont. He completed his BSc Honors in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in Lahore, Pakistan. After graduation, he joined the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) in Islamabad, Pakistan, as a Project Assistant. During his tenure at SDPI, Danish worked with organizations such as UN Habitat, British Council and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES). Subsequently, Danish completed his MSc in Economics from the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, in Germany and returned to Pakistan to lecture in the Department of Social Sciences in Iqra University, Islamabad.
Danish has research work and publications in the fields of social entrepreneurship, internal migration and climate-induced migration. His current research focuses on how money creation in our monetary system can be used to achieve sustainable outcomes for our planet.
