Adam is pursuing a PhD in the Department of Anthropology at McGill University, under the supervision of Eduardo Kohn. Adam graduated from Yale University with a BA in philosophy, followed by an MA in philosophy at the New School, and an MA in anthropology at the University of Chicago. His research is on visions of the planetary, ecological metaphysics, and Amazonian cosmologies. At this moment of climate crisis, Adam seeks to contribute to a global cosmo-vision, capable of reimagining the place of the human in the universe. Adam has proposed a framework called “Sky-Earth Systems Theory” in order to generalize Earth-Systems science so as to incorporate non-Modern knowledge. He is also an experimental musician and enjoys playing piano as well as creating sample-based soundscapes.
